Northpointe Community Church sits on Webb Drive in DeWitt, Michigan. The lead pastor runs point on sermon series concepts. The associate minister handles ministry event needs. The worship director handles service-day requests for Christmas and holiday graphics.
The work
Across the engagement, produced work includes sermon series art for The Greatest Command (a one-week Matthew 22 message), Famous Last Words (2 Timothy: Paul's Final Letter), the Battleground State series tied to the 2024 election cycle with a Michigan map and armor imagery, and With for Christmas. The work also covers the Fall Fest blade banners, a magazine ad for a local publication in DeWitt, and quick service-day scripture backgrounds for the worship team.
The Fall Fest blade banners were the first big build. Specs came in for double-sided blade banners in Northpointe's green. A Welcome banner was built first to confirm the word was facing the correct direction on each side, since the orientation conventions for double-sided blade banners can flip depending on the printer. Once confirmed, the set was sized to the BannerBuzz template and the rest produced.
From there the rhythm settled in. A sermon series title would arrive with a paragraph of vision and a request for three or four image directions. Options went out the next business day, a number was picked, and the chosen design plus a coordinating scripture background slide followed. The two-round cadence held across every series.
The Battleground State series was the most involved. Armor imagery layered with a Michigan congressional district map, with input requested on which districts should read red versus blue before committing the shading.
Weekend service-day asks from the worship director are part of what the subscription is built to deliver. A scripture background that matches the Christmas series without any series elements baked in, needed by Sunday morning, can go out the same Saturday evening.
